The weather in Mauritius is unpredictable and fickle, but never disappointing. The lush island is filled with friendly and welcoming people and despite our short time on the tropical island, we experienced so much of its diversity and culture. I must admit, I fell in love with the place, and so did Sean. The hotels are grand and offer so much, but it was the small streets, the colours, the smiles and the atmosphere that grabbed us. It is no wonder that Nelda and Wesley chose this paradise island as the setting for their wedding.
Despite scattered rains and a humid breeze, their friends and family arrived with enthusiasm and excitement for the day and we got to witness so much joy and happiness that at one stage we had to literally run down the beach to make it in time for a sunset shot on the jetty. We left for our hotel late that night feeling enriched and blessed, and we truly were.
Early the next morning we joined them for a day-after shoot in the pool and ocean, before leaving for the airport. Three incredible days that we will never forget.
Nelda and Wesley, thank you for the adventure, thank you for your trust and thank you, most of all, for your unconditional kindness! May your love always reflect that of Christ and may you grow in intimacy with Him!
