The clouds were rolling in as we made our way to the Nutcracker Estate venue outside Parys. Not too much, just enough to let us know we would see some rain during the day. When we arrived at the venue the river was a lot higher than normal and it was so interesting seeing the water rush by after the heavy falls we’d had in the days leading up to the wedding. Liezl came down with a nasty bug that morning and spent it at the doctor’s office in Parys. It was only much later that she showed up at the venue, smiling and laughing, her old self. Then the rain came down in buckets!
Werner and Liezl’s friends couldn’t stop talking about how amazing they are! They are two extremely kind and inviting people who absolutely adore each other… Lielz started feeling very ill soon after the ceremony, but insisted that we press on. The way Werner was taking care of his bride was inspiring and while we can’t imagine a more inconvenient time for her to feel the way she did, it allowed Werner’s tenderness to show and also showed how brave Liezl could be. The two of them shared so many happy and sad moments on this day and also found a beautiful way to remember both their daddies who couldn’t be there with them. We were deeply touched and will never forget it.
There’s no need to write any more about this lovely pair… With what they take home from this, we pray that they have a lifetime of happiness and joy ahead of them. All our love xxx
